Roland is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Cargoo. He founded Cargoo in 2007 after recognizing pain points in the logistics industry and designing elegant and effective systems to address them.
Prior to Cargoo, Roland founded Commodity Supplies, the mother company of Cargoo, a procurement logistics company specializing in the international transportation of commodities around the world. Roland started his career at Volcafé Ltd, a world renowned Swiss coffee trading and production group.
Roland is passionate about logistics and supply chain management and has a keen sense of how technology can disrupt traditional silo-based planning and execution.
Ingo has been a member of the Cargoo AG Executive Board since 2020, and of NEXUS AG Executive Board since 2000, holding the position of Chairman of the Executive Board since 2002.
He gained international experience in business IT in various commercial and technical functions at Siemens AG between 1992 and 2000 where he was responsible for larger software development projects and international customer projects.
He studied business administration and information science and completed an MBA course (with a Fulbright scholarship) at Clark University, Massachusetts, USA. He completed his doctorate in software architecture at the Technical University of Berlin.
Cargoo is led by a talented and experienced group of entrepreneurs, logistics, engineers, operators, analysts, creatives, go-getters, innovators and listeners offering a bold alternative to traditional supply chain management.
Jahn has been the CFO of Commodity Supplies AG since 2015. As part of his role, he has taken a keen interest in the digitalization of the company’s internal processes and has been actively involved in the design of Cargoo.
Previously, he had worked as Finance Director at Tate & Lyle Sugars as well as ED&F Man Sugars for a total of eight years in London, after having held various senior financial positions at Volcafé Ltd, the world’s second largest coffee trade house.
Earlier in his career, Jahn developed a new system for the central clearing of exchange traded financial derivatives, developed a Black-Scholes based valuation system for physical, futures and options positions, and had also worked as a part-time business school lecturer.
Zürich born and educated at AKAD, Jahn is a Swiss Chartered Accountant and a Swiss Federal Expert in Accounting and Controlling.
Ashot Arakeljan is Chief Product (CPO) and Technology Officer (CTO) at Cargoo AG. In this role, he is accountable for the company’s strategy, formulation, development and cross-functional delivery of Cargoo’s supply chain software portfolio.
As CPO, Ashot is responsible for driving the strategic vision across Cargoo’s products and leading software development. He oversees architecture definition, technology selection, solution development and testing for teams across 6 continents.
Prior to this role, Ashot was Product Owner and Business Analyst at Kuehne + Nagel Integrated Logistics division in Estonia, where he drove the strategic vision for bringing the 4PL Control Tower solutions to market. He has extensive leadership experience across diverse roles and technology areas gained at companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500.
Ashot holds a BS in Information Technology from the University of Technology in Tallinn. He lives in Switzerland.
As Chief Operating Officer at Cargoo, Thomas Nyffenegger is responsible for the global operations of the company. His team is responsible for onboarding, implementing customers and helping to maximize their desired business outcome by utilizing the Cargoo platform.
He brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Cargoo. His experience and leadership have been focused on delivering technology-driven business services and solutions, providing outstanding customer service and driving profitable revenue growth.
Thomas holds a CAS in International Logistics in the University of Applied Sciences North Western Switzerland and a Master of Advance Studies in International Logistics Management in the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz.
As Head of Business Affairs, Juri leads the Customer Service, Vendor Implementation and Global Data Quality teams, which are responsible for helping customers maxime their user experience and value utilizing the Cargoo platform.
He brings more than 25 years of worldwide industry experience to Cargoo in the field of finance, change management and quality control.
Juri studied at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences where he holds a bachelor degree on Certified Business-Economist.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Thomas spearheads global sales, refines the Go-to-Market strategy, and elevates customer experience. With a proven track record in logistics, supply chain management, and global trade, he brings extensive expertise in negotiations, business planning, development, strategic planning, and international operations.
Before joining Cargoo, Thomas held influential roles in LogTech and Supply Chain SaaS companies, showcasing leadership in Go-to-Market strategies and digital transformation for multinational firms.
Thomas holds an Executive MBA from the European University and the University of Dallas/TX (USA), highlighting his strong foundation for strategic roles in the software and consulting industry.
As a Head of IT Development in Cargoo, Jekaterina is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of an organization’s software development life cycle. It includes developing and implementing IT development strategies and plans that align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives and managing the allocation of resources, including budget and staff, ensuring that projects are completed effectively and efficiently.
Jekaterina joined Cargoo as Head of IT Development in October 2020, initially aiming to establish the IT Department in Estonia. With her extensive experience in Kuehne + Nagel as a Development Team Lead and Project Manager, she brought extensive knowledge to Cargoo.
Jekaterina holds a Master of Engineering in Business Information technology from the Tallinn University of Technology.
As Head of Partner Integration, Diego oversees the development of Cargoo’s growing partner network. The vision of his role will be instrumental in expanding integration activities beyond carriers to port authorities, terminals, customs, warehouses, trucking & rail companies, as well as any other actor of the supply chain ecosystem, while tracking the quality of the data exchanged.
Before this role, Diego spent more than 16 years with CMA-CGM HQ, where he held various positions within the eCommerce department. He gained solid experience integrating the carriers’ most strategic accounts.
In his last position, he was the regional manager in charge of driving the adoption of digital products within the carrier’s global agency network.
